Given the context of pig production in Spain, it is necessary to evaluate and promote the implementation of BSG’s measures in the broadest sense on pig farms by raising the awareness of veterinarians and farmers, which will contribute to an improvement in this basic pillar of health that will result in greater competitiveness in the sector, a lower risk in relation to the entry of diseases and, if a disease finally reaches our territory, significantly improve the effectiveness of control measures, limiting the spread of the disease.
