DISARM’s Third Project Meeting
The third project meeting was hosted by Innovation for Agriculture in Coventry, UK. We had useful, productive and necessary discussions about how to progress further with our work. We also engaged in some external networking. Gwyn Jones from RUMA (Responsible Use of Medicines in Agriculture Alliance) joined us for lunch and spoke about how the UK farming industry has proactively approached antimicrobial resistance and emphasised that it is important for all sectors and countries to engage on the issue. We also visited Harper Adams University for a tour of their pig, sheep, beef and dairy units to hear about their animal health achievements and research projects.
